Like, comment, and post feedback, would love to hear from you all.

Watching wrestling-  I did last Saturday attend NWLKC show it was a nice time until we were met with some flickering lights and my power being out for a day and a half . I did watch a portion of Monday night Raw it was alright. I’m thinking of really watching my DVR showings of New Japan. Hopefully then I can jump back into the clear crisp pool of pro wrestling because this is driving me crazy! Anyways I’m signing off guys, I’ll talk to you tomorrow about my DVR adventures.

Until next time,

Tailor Usually the first question asked in a typical wrestling conversation is, "Who's your favorite wrestler." The exact same cringing, tired, redundant feeling when a interviewer asks a wrestler. "What made you want to become a wrestler?" Is the exact feeling that makes me want to punch a wall and chew the plaster. WHY DO WE ASK THAT ANYMORE. Tried and true studies have proven that 9 times out of 10 we ask that question is really just to see if the fan worthy to have a conversation with. Truly begging and itching to say the wrong wrestler. (ie. Roman Regins, John Cena etc.) so they can Kamehameha the hell out of them why their favorite wrestler is wrong. First of all STOP doing that, and secondly what is the proposed favorite wrestler, or even so much to say the greatest wrestler. Guess what, there's literally no right or wrong answer. It's the greatest to you, or most favorite to you. Each licensed professional wrestler are tailored to fit the fans criteria, whatever it may be. Strength, endurance, entertain, technique, or for the simple fact that they're attractive. Don't deny it we're all human here. But it's the truth, our heros make us cheer for them so much, even if we're not suppose to, and we have that bond that connection to them, and heaven forbid they talk to us. HOLY SHIT! Can you imagine how it would've been back in the day if the Romans and Greeks were able to talk to Athena and Hercules? or a tough competitor from the coliseum?

Also, not one wrestler is going to be the end all be all favorite for a fan. Since FloSlam, YouTube, and Fite TV have came on the scene that question should be obsolete. ( yes I did do that, let's all laugh) In my opinion, it shouldn't be there, it should be more than one- hell more than 10! You can't just pick one wrestler, it's expanded, WWE has an entire universe, hence why I call pro wrestling a galaxy. The fandom is so massive it can now become overwhelming with everything we're bombarded with...and we just can't get enough. I have not watched consecutive wrestling for a good two months because I don't know where to begin. Send help!

Well that's all the time I have today, I hope this makes you take a think under there. Comment below if you have had any experiences with this and also where should I start with wrestling brands in the independent scene! Don't forget to head over to my new facebook page HEELoverFace and look at my craziness there. Mwah xoxo

I could say I’d never depart from you but we both know that I’d be lying and that’s something I don’t want to do. So I can only say, ” I’ll try to be better.” Anyway, if you’ve checked out my blog post from my personal channel Cheap Pop Shots you’ll understand that I had a couple of jobs within the past year that basically took me up in a whirlwind, felt like a true adult for a bit and brought me flat right back down on my ass! But it was fun I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything in the world and I’ve learned so much. That these two blogs and social media are my engines to put my purpose my goal in life into drive and out of that dumb parking lot and finally on the road to freedom! Also I will still cover wrestling just a much less format as I had in the past. I have other stuff and musings going on too you guys. I.HAVE.A.LIFE which is something I feel a lot of bloggers more so wrestling bloggers don’t explore the other side I can argue with you best matches and reviews of stuff all day long but honestly it’s boring. You’d get bored and then I’d get bored, and we don’t want that do we? Nope I didn’t think so.  So learn the many many stages of life with me as a 26 year old woman who like everyone else, unless they believe in reincarnation, is going through life for the first and only time! Let’s experience, pro wrestling, going to concerts, looking at strange people, looking at normal people, or we can just be silent.

Either way, I want you all to keep reading and thank you in advance for staying with me on this adventure.

until then space fans

Good news everyone!
I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to their wonderful weekend and I thought it would be great for me to add a little more violence and mayhem to your world of professional wrestling!
Great ends to build ups from the Hardy delete/obsolete clan defeating decay, which honestly I was pulling for but I’m glad the Hardy’s won since my old wrestling age nostalgic ways of my generation “back in the day” wrestling was so use to seeing the boys holding gold. Hands down one of the best pay per views I’ve seen in a very long time it really told a story, it tied up all the loose ends and finished the stories that were being told week after week. THAT is how you put on a pay-per view show. The Hardy/Decay match was absolutely epic from beginning to end the grandioso and dramatic. Not so dramatic that is was annoying and you can clearly tell that they’re bad actors but they were being dramatic to have fun and they presented it in such a way that everything didn’t take place in only a ring or outside on the mats. Fans like me and lots of other people go crazy for outside interference and not just because we hope that one day the fight will be taken close by us and we can touch them but just because it won’t be boring! If you guys happened to listen to WrestleTalk last Wednesday I mentioned that Moose and Bobby Lashley were possibly going to fight at Bound for Glory, but unfortunately it didn’t happen it was Moose vs. Mike Bennett (Moose won thank goodness possibly Mike & Maria can go sit down somewhere lol) and EC3 vs. Bobby Lashley, which I should’ve known because I saw a part of their press conference. Either way Lashley won and totally knocked out EC3 to retain but now he lost it to (drum roll) Eddie Edwards ! Congrats Eddie. I ‘ve been off and on with watching TNA and just seeing EC3 go from back and forth face and heel, heel to face I think I prefer him as a heel. Not just because the title of my blog but you ever have that feeling that some guys are better as just being the good guy or the bad guy? Granted, there are even some that don’t need to be either and they’re just there to wrestle; but I love stability and usually once you have that I feel like you get a more heat and passion for what you’re doing and you know exactly how to go out there and have a great match.
But enough about TNA onward to ROH & Lucha Underground: I’ll be brief I promise. I the one time after I miss a show after watching it consecutively after the pay-per-view I miss the show that seemed so interesting. It was a fun pact show. When I finally put up episode three of my vlog I will definitely share my emotions on the show as well as tomorrow’s show.

TIME TO BINGE WATCH ALL OF MY WRESTLING AGAIN !

Hey guys I have a vlog coming out soon I’ve made so many promises and as always technology isn’t being a great friend right now but I hope to have it up and poping ready to bring you the some HEELSoverFACES!
If you’d like to see some more personal passionate inside thoughts, musings, and weird thoughts that pop into my head on a day to day basis about professional wrestling, head over to wordpress.com/cheapopshots and check it out. share your comments and stories on here and let’s all swim in the love pro wrestling

Overhaul

Posted: August 26, 2016 in Pro Wrestling Text blogs

Hey everyone, just giving a update and review! I close out my wrestling week and gearing up for another one. Geez I feel like I have 4 jobs and three heads, going insane in the membrane. Anyway I watched 4 shows this week. Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor & Ring of Honor TV, NXT, Monday Night Raw, and a few side clips from the Talk Smackdown, and NXT: Brooklyn Take Over Two.

A word to describe it is…. okay I see what you did there. Generally that’s how I see a lot of the shows but it’s all big giant puzzle pieces. It all fits together and if it doesn’t it’s a huge mess especially from the get go that they try to make it into stories.  Ring of Honor did a nice job tying the main even of Lethal and Cole’s match together in a nice bow . And what made me stand up and applause is the not having them show up the following week rehashing what we all saw the previous nights thank you management for letting our eyes take some R&R. But they left us a terrific cliffhanger in the end with Kyle O’Reilly swoop in, knock Cole out and raise the title, oh be still my beating heart.

And because they’re all in a great box, the subconscious, giant WWE had a pro wrestling covered weekend. With NXT, Summerslam, Monday Night Raw, Smackdown, Talk Smackdown ( aka more stretched out mid cards), Cruiser weight Classic, Main Event NXT, oh wait that’s every week practically. Anyway I only watched two. Three big take away’s from all of the calamity is

  • Finn Balor loosing a belt within 24 because he’s injured and had to be out for 6 months if anyone besides me doesn’t call B.S then welcome to the party.
  • BAYLEY! Going to the main roster! She’s my absolute favorite out of all of the women today. Hands down if I could meet any of the women it would be Bayley.
  • The Miz ripping Daniel Bryan a new a-hole because DB called him a coward.

I only will delve into these slightly because they all speak for themselves and they’re on social media. Also I talked about these topics on WrestleTalk with Joe and Rene here, and you can check it out on my Cheap Pop Shot blog here.

After all of the TV time I got to join Joe and Rene for even more fun times with the hot spots segment, learn who won the contest for upcoming Metro Pro Show, vent worldwide on my frustrations verbally as well as help interview Absolute Ricky Starks. It was a great conversations and I loved the fact that I stayed on the air longer and got to express my self. I suppose all that college radio time I spent a semester was worth something hahaha.

Thank goodness it’s Friday and I can shed off this wrestling week and get ready for another great time in the squared circle. Metro Pro show coming up I will talk about it in the next post.

But for now it’s time to prop up the feet and crack open a can of beer….root beer, and watch some more wrestling.

Until the bell rings,

Brandis

Hey pro wrestling fans my goodness it must have been another 86 years hasn’t it? Insanely busy with working and trying to keep things a float. Now that it’s quiteted down on my job and I have a more concrete way to stay in tune with my love for wrestling I can make posts again.

If you all didn’t know already every Thursday you can hear me live on the WrestleTalk podcast with Joe and Rene in my very own segment called hotspots where I give the review and opinion on WWE then Ring of Honor, Lucha underground and other Indy shows that are coming up. (here’s the part where you come in) you can definitely feel free to call or message them and ask questions. It’s very fun I enjoy doing it, I only started a month ago and get this guys. I have my own theme song! Granted I have a theme song from my webisodes but I thought hey why not have a heavy metal band express my emotions to the masses right!

Any way great time I have a couple of things I’m thinking about later this year doing to expand my horizons with this blog. I have this link to the wrestletalk podcast in the link ,that you guys can listen in every Thursday so, tomorrow night, below as well as my new twitter and Instagram handle that I’m revamping to make it cater to more of my pro wrestling world. Currently, I’m working on a script for another webisode and I hope to have it published to you guys soon be on the look out for that and yes you can and will expect more blogs from me on both this page as well as the digital electrifying communications blog .

It’s been almost a week since I graced the doors at Turner Rec Center entering into a highly anticipated show that is Metro Pro wrestling and I’m still in a small daze.

For those that are even acquainted with me even perhaps in passing knows that I love professional wrestling. I go to every show that I possibly can and to say that last Saturday was the most intense favorite nights that they’ve ever done words couldn’t describe.

The incredible hot night started before the show began with standing outside in the sweltering heat in line waiting to get inside. A few of my friends from the wrestletalk podcast that I weekly contribute were in attendance and doing a segment making predictions as well as tailgated. What made it special was one of my growing top favorite wrestlers Mike Outlaw came from out back and chatted with us for a bit and ate a couple of hot dogs. You never really have that transparent experience much in the fandom of pro wrestling where wrestlers and fans can actually have a conversation the entire time besides fangirling/boying for 10 minutes and hyperventilating.

Each and every show stands on its own and this one is another one in the books for metro pro ( que DJ kaleed saying “and anotha one” ) Top talented debuted and made returned appearances at Metro Pro among were Hype Gotti and KLD even Global Force Wrestling champion Sonjay Dutt showed up and put on incredible performance last Saturday night.

Sonjay’s match against Devin Thomas is the water from the desert that fans truly thirst and appreciate for. The reason being is that it didn’t have all the flash and style and entertainment that mainstream pro wrestling today thrives off of and can’t break from. It was pure both guys came out, shook hands and really fought for a win. No taunting, no long speech and repetitive sentences how bad they’re going to beat someone and end up cheating or losing, or spend half their allotted time arguing with fans it was absolute pure wrestling and talented. Plain and simple: No drama.

Devin Thomas ended up with the win but Sonjay graciously earned Metro Pro fans respect by saying how great he was able to be a part of tonight, and gave Thomas his blessing on become a great wrestler and how we needed to support him.

The match of all matches or as ring announcer Don Diablo says “The main event. Of. The. Evening!” Jeremy Wyatt vs President Michael Strider.

This match has been building for over a year and a half where it all started  around December of 2014 and Wyatt was facing Derek Stone Strider came out dressed as a referee and started counting when Wyatt had the pin but stopped short of the final count Wyatt confused why and then strider had his hired bodyguards rough up Wyatt from that point all the way until July 30th 2016 Strider put Wyatt against many opponents from all over the country Ricky Cruz, Matt Striker, Christopher Daniels, Money Matt Cage, Ace Steel and even survived a 60 minute Iron man match ( talk about old school huh?) against long metro Pro rival Mark Sterling.

Yet, there’s two sides to every story and Strider defends his case numerous times he spoke to the Metro Pro crowd claiming that he’s doing what’s best for the company and for Wyatt but. “He gives him credit where credit is due that no matter who he faces Wyatt knocks them down. “ (Quoted from Wrestletalk podcast on July 28, 2016) Until June 4th Wyatt  surprisingly came out to the ring after being defeated by Rhino in April loosing not only his title belt which Rhino sold to Strider for 10 grand but as well as losing his job.  Wyatt said that he still has one last match in him and he’d like to beat Strider to go out in style. Along with announcing his retirement and leaving it in the ring for one final match and especially against Strider this also meant Strider would have to come out of his 4 year retirement to fight once again. Strider giving his aviator shaded sly smirk and suddenly taking the glasses off and looking around the crowd as they chanted “one more match, one more match or the favorite “ Let’s go Wyatt, clap clap clap-clap-clap” then he instantly became perplexed and shouted at everyone under the sound of his voice . “ You want a match, you want me to come out of retirement you got it.”

Everything was left in the ring and you’d be hard pressed to find if anything was left out. The beginning was intense blow by blow definitely a brawl but it quickly turned into “who’s going to need an ambulance at the end of the night. Majority of the people, myself included with hands over their mouths, God being called, and ew look at that man he’s bloody.” We were warned before it started that we may needed to get out of the way should it spill out of the ring, and did it ever. Jeremy throwing Strider down into a pile of folding chairs which cut his back, then again into a folding table which completely gave Strider a red bloody mask completely gory and gruesome, total primitive.

During one point of the match both men were on the second and third turnbuckle and you could see at Strider’s profile blood leaking, spewing out like a punctured bag. Another time on the opposite side Wyatt had Strider cornered and he wiped strider’s blood on his shirt in an x and then flipped him off, blood dripped on the floor in front it was a total chaos like watching a grisly horror movie. The best of the year. Every time I go to a Metro Pro event they top their last show every single time and it’s only going to get better.

Wyatt came in at the end and pinned Strider for 1, 2, 3 count and the entire place erupted! President Strider was carried out by a couple of bodyguards and about 3 refs. Both men bloody and I’m sure bruised. Wyatt stood in the ring and streamers thrown like the image of Ring of Honor when a wrestling talent leaves the company, and gave a heartfelt speech. Thanking everyone and the fans many times over but as well more so encouraging the fans to invite people and come for everyone that is in Metro Pro’s locker room how much they sacrifice to entertain us. Incredibly smart and courteous especially to those that will continue to be here after he’s left the company.

Now like a Lost episode, there’s questions left unanswered. What happens next? Metro Pro is in the middle of have a tournament for the vacant Metro Pro Wrestling championship that Wyatt use to own. What will Strider focus on now that Wyatt is gone? Will Wyatt be the mystery Santa this year? Come back as the president? Or is he truly done for good?  Will the wrestlers who gave into cheating their way into Strider’s good graces rule over Metro Pro or will there be a revolution with all the good guys coming together to overthrow Strider. Who is the next guest superstar to grace those gym doors?

Next event is August 27th at the Kansas City T-Bones stadium at 7pm guests include Tommy Dreamer, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan along with many of Metro Pro’s favorites. This does count as one of the Metro Pro events but this doesn’t seem like the classic story line driven Metro Pro show, to me it feels more like an exhibition as this is the first time that Metro Pro has done something like this. It’ll be interesting to see. I hope to take part of the VIP package that they’ll have!
